Balance your body: target your lymphatic system with reflexology for lymph drainage.

I have recently added strings to my reflexology bow and I am now able to offer reflexology for lymphatic drainage. After attending Sally Kay's RLD course at Manchester Christie's hospital, I learnt more about how reflexology can be a powerful tool for flushing out toxins in the body, boosting immunity and stimulating and balancing the lymphatic system. My case studies involved measurement of lymph swelling on my clients legs and arms before and after treatments to monitor whether RLD was effective in activating lymph flow.

Reflexology for lymphatic drainage specifically targets the lymphatic system through reflex points on the feet and it was originally designed by Sally Kay to support survivors of breast cancer and other conditions that lead to lymphoedema-a tissue swelling caused by lymph drainage failure.

One great thing about attending reflexology courses is that I get the opportunity to experience the treatment myself and I definitely felt the effects of reflexology for lymphatic drainage!

I had been suffering with a chronic ear infection for four months which had taken a hit on my immunity. I came to the course feeling tired and drained but albeit ready to learn. My aim was to come away from the course with a new specialism in reflexology but on top of that, it helped me on a personal level as I also came away feeling better in myself. After the RLD treatments, I felt more energised, more clearheaded and much much better. A fortnight later, I was told my chronic ear infection had cleared.

Coincidence? Or had the reflexology for lymphatic drainage really got my lymph flowing so boosting my immunity and clearing out toxins? I believe the latter and that this specialised reflexology has really helped me to get better.

As well as lymphoedema, RLD can also help:

-Immune system support

-General well-being

-Pain management

-Stress and anxiety

Reflexology for lymphatic drainage offers a targeted approach to enhancing lymphatic function. Its unique sequence and evidence-based approach make it a valuable addition to holistic care practices.
